Space Connect is calling on members of the Australian space industry to submit an entry or nominate a colleague or business by Wednesday, 26 February 2025, to be in the running for the prestigious awards.
The Australian Space Awards 2025 will celebrate the top-performing professionals and businesses across Australia’s space sector, and recognise their outstanding contribution to the industry.
Now in its sixth year, the unparalleled awards program honours the leading individuals and businesses driving the development of Australia’s space economy.
The Australian Space Awards recognises all stakeholders across the space industry – from major listed organisations and corporates servicing Australia’s space sector to SMEs, start-ups, academic institutions, and associations driving innovation and accelerating the industry forward.
The awards program will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Wednesday, 28 May 2025, at Ilumina in Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.
The awards are open to all businesses supporting the Australian space industry across fields including launch, telecommunications, satellites, energy, mining and transport, as well as defence, agriculture, disaster and water management.
There are 11 individual categories on offer including Academic of the Year, Scientist of the Year, Female Space Leader of the Year - SME, and Innovator of the Year.
Some of the 16 group categories include Start-up of the Year, Indigenous Space Initiative of the Year, Earth Observation Program of the Year, and Defence Business of the Year.
The awards program has set the benchmark for excellence in the space industry, with Australia’s most innovative space businesses capitalising on the awards program to drive business growth, attract investment and expand their capabilities for consumers.
By winning one of the coveted Australian Space Awards, professionals can underpin career advancement while both individuals and businesses will gain national recognition and elevate themselves or their business above the competition.
With our domestic space industry expected to triple by 2030 to a value of between $10 billion and $12 billion, winning one of the prestigious Australian Space Awards reaffirms the role of recipients personally and business recognition-wise in growing the nation’s domestic industry and projecting Australia’s space capabilities globally.
During this pivotal period for the industry, the awards program allows individuals and businesses to gain recognition for their contributions to driving the Australian space industry forward.
The gala ceremony will also provide an opportunity to network with industry leaders, rising stars, and peers across the industry.
The Australian Space Awards program, in conjunction with event stakeholders Space Connect, Momentum Media and a panel of leading space professionals, has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing, and benchmarking Australia’s leading space professionals and businesses.
