Submissions and nominations are now open for the Australian Space Awards – be recognised and celebrate outstanding achievements in space innovation.

The prestigious awards program demonstrates the top-quality of businesses and teams accelerating the expansion of Australia’s space sector.

Now in its sixth year, the Australian Space Awards celebrates the diverse stakeholders across space-related industries, including major corporations, SMEs, start-ups, academic institutions, and associations, all of whom contribute to advancing Australia’s space sector."

The gala ceremony will provide unparalleled networking opportunities for attendees to collaborate with industry leaders and peers.

A total of 27 categories are on offer across 11 individual and 16 group categories, including the prestigious Space Situational Awareness Program of the Year.

The Space Situational Awareness Program of the Year category is dedicated to advancing and maintaining space situational awareness within Australia’s space industry.

Open to programs of all sizes, funding levels, geographic locations, and affiliations, this category acknowledges the essential role these efforts play in supporting Australia’s space economy and fostering global leadership in space operations.

By showcasing these programs, the award aims to inspire innovation and collaboration in safeguarding the future of space activities.

Space leaders and organisations are encouraged to submit to highlight their pivotal work in strengthening Australia’s capabilities in space situational awareness.

The Australian Space Awards program, in conjunction with event stakeholders Space Connect, Momentum Media and a panel of leading space professionals, has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing, and benchmarking Australia’s leading space professionals and businesses. The judging criteria for award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to Australia’s space sector.

All businesses and professionals that meet eligibility criteria from across Australia’s space industry are encouraged to participate in the awards program.
