Dr Ulpia-Elena Botezatu is the chair of the influential Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, which aims to foster collaboration between nations and consider legal issues arising from space exploration.
As a space policy officer at the Romanian Space Agency, she also represents her country in the European Space Agency and NATO’s Science and Technology Organisation.
Botezatu joins a line-up of global industry figures, including former prime minister Scott Morrison; NASA’s chief technologist A.C. Charania; and Ted Mercer, CEO of the Virginia Spaceport Authority.
