The Australian Space Summit & Exhibition is returning for a transformative two-day event, hosted in partnership with principal partner Space Centre Australia.
The event features a jam-packed agenda that will see industry leaders discuss emerging business opportunities, innovations and the real-world applications shaping the future of the space industry.
James Palmer, founder and CEO at Space Centre Australia, joins an impressive speaker line-up, including the Honourable Scott Morrison, non-executive group chairman at Space Centre Australia and former prime minister of Australia, as well as Lieutenant General Susan Coyle, AM, CSC, DSM of the Australian Army.
With over 20 years’ experience as a chartered engineering executive leader and over 15 years dedicated to space infrastructure development, Palmer brings a wealth of knowledge to the Australian Space Summit & Exhibition.
He is currently CEO and co-founder of Space Centre Australia, an emerging leader in the global space industry.
Palmer plans to establish the company as a leading aerospace developer and one of the world’s top four interplanetary spaceport companies.
Space Centre Australia aims to provide large-scale launch solutions that foster international collaboration, with Palmer recently revealing the company has been involved in talks with the Elon Musk-owned launch company, SpaceX.
“It’s not at Elon’s level yet, but in time it will be,” he said. “They said there was a lot of potential to work with us,” Palmer told The Australian Financial Review.
Palmer began his career as a submariner in the Royal Australian Navy where he gained extensive experience in engineering vehicles to withstand hostile conditions across both deep underwater and space.
He has held significant roles spanning satellite ground station development, launch operations, mission control and orbital domain management across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
At the Australian Space Summit & Exhibition, Palmer will be joined by a stellar line-up of local and international thought leaders to explore emerging opportunities for international collaboration and the future of the space industry.
The Australian Space Summit & Exhibition will be held on 27 and 28 May at the ICC, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.
